If you’re thinking and dreaming about where to head off on your next journey, you’ve come to the right place.

Locals in Nelson Tasman often consider Autumn the best time of year – the weather is settled, the sea is still warm enough to swim in, there are still plenty of events and festivals on offer, and all of the outdoor summer attractions are still in full swing. There’s something particularly extraordinary about dining alfresco as the sun sets over Tasman Bay, exploring the Abel Tasman as the leaves are turning golden, skydiving on a crisp and cloudless day or sampling world class wines during harvesting season.

Nelson Tasman is synonymous with light. Our region has the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand - but it's the quality of light in autumn and winter that means we are still able to sail the calm waters of the Abel Tasman in the morning, cycle our world-class bike trails during the day, and paddle into the Tasman Bay sunset in the evening.
